The Jair Lynch Companies / S.C. Myers & Associates, Inc. Joint Venture (JLC / SCM&A) has been tasked by the National Park Service to provide construction management services for the rehabilitation of Fort Washington located in Fort Washington, Maryland under the nationwide IDIQ contract awarded in 2003.

The scope of this contract consists of the rehabilitation and stabilization of historic Fort Washington. The rehabilitation work focuses on the North-West Demi-Bastion and includes historic masonry reproduction and procurement, demolition, survey and recordation for hazardous materials, drainage, and critical structural repairs. The stabilization work includes critical structural and drainage repairs, and associated vegetation removal at the esplanades, roofs, main gate and gate house, tereplein, Officer’s Quarters, Soldier’s barracks, North and South Powder Magazines, North and South Parade grounds, Caponierre, and other structures.

The work was scheduled over three (3) phases with a two-year construction schedule to completion. The JLC / SCM&A, JV provided daily onsite management which includes the following; construction management, construction oversite, submittal review, construction estimates and cost control, schedule analysis and overall coordination between the NPS and the Design Build Team of The Christman Construction Company of Michigan and Lord Aeck Sargent Architects.
