The Jair Lynch Companies / S.C. Myers & Associates Joint Venture (JLC / SCM&A) is providing
construction inspection services for the National Park Service (NPS) at a new visitor center in
Frederick, MD.
The new visitor center replaces the flood-prone visitor center, near the Monocacy River. The new two-story building exhibit a state-of-the-art museum on the second floor.

An observatory deck is also provided on the second floor, overlooking the actual civil war battlefield that took place in 1863.
The SCM&A inspector inspected the work of the contractor for workmanship, conformance with specifications, and applicable building codes. In addition, SCM&A inspector conducted progress meetings, reviewed submittals, negotiated change orders with the contractor, and kept Denver Service Center (DSC) NPS personnel informed of construction progress, conflicts and issues, through conference calls, and weekly Quality Control reports. |
