As the owner’s prime consultant, S.C. Myers & Associates, Inc. (SCM&A) provided construction management and inspection services for the $13M historic renovation of the 19th century Shiloh Baptist Church. The historic Church sustained severe fire damage several years ago. The project involved demolition, underpinning, interior reconfiguration, structural renovation, and
architectural improvements.
The project required that the historical character of the buildings be preserved. As part of our services, SCM&A helped in selecting the project architect, coordinated design issues, prepared the cost estimate and CPM schedule, assembled bid packages, negotiated contracts, and provided the on-site construction management and administration services. SCM&A worked closely with the owner to reduce claims and change orders.
