Health Insurance
All full-time and part-time employees working at least 24 hours per week are eligible to enroll in SCM&A’s medical insurance program. This is a self-funded program administered by Blue Cross Blue Shield with the cost of coverage being shared between SCM&A and the employee. We provide both individual and dependent coverage. The premiums are payroll deducted on a pre-tax basis.

Dental Insurance
All full-time and part-time employees working at least 24 hours per week are eligible to enroll in SCM&A’s dental insurance program. This is a self-funded program administered by Blue Cross Blue Shield with the cost of coverage being shared between SCM&A and the employee. We provide both individual and dependent coverage. Vision
Full-time and part-time employees working at least 24 hours per week are eligible to enroll in SCM&A's vision plan. The plan offers benefits for eye exams, glasses and contact lenses.

Life Insurance
SCM&A provides life insurance coverage at no cost to full-time employees. Coverage ranges from $30,000 to $100,000 depending upon salary.
Accidental Death and Dismemberment insurance is provided, also at no cost, to all employees eligible for life insurance. AD&D covers loss of life, limb, sight, speech or hearing caused by an accident.
Additional life insurance may be purchased by employees to cover their lives or those of eligible dependents.

Short Term / Long-Term Disability Insurance
Employees may purchase short- and long-term disability insurance to cover absences from work caused by an injury or illness occurring outside of work. Short-term disability insurance provides a benefit of 60% of salary up to a maximum of $1,250 per week. Employees choose between long-term disability policies providing a benefit of 60% of salary to a $6,000 per month maximum or 67% of salary to a $10,000 maximum benefit. Disability benefits begin after a 14 or 27 day elimination period.

401(k) Plan
SCM&A maintains an optional retirement program known as the Section 401(k) Plan. Under this plan participants may request to have pre- or after-tax deductions taken from their pay. SCM&A contributes an employer match with the percentage based on employee’s compensation and service.

Paid Time Off
Full-time regular employees accrue paid time off each pay. The schedule below demonstrates total PTO days accrued annually.
Length of Service PTO Accrued Annually
0-12 months 15 days
13-60 months 16.5 days
51-96 months 18 days
97-120 months 19.5 days
121 months or more 22 days
Associates and Sr. Associates earn 22 days each year regardless of length of service. Officers earn 22 days per year.
Part time employees working 24 or more hours per week are also eligible to earn paid time off at a pro-rated schedule.
